Java, php and other dynamic content have been removed. Links to dead pages (e.g. ordering instructions for The Slab Book, eBay auctions, and contact email generator) have been removed. A bit of cleanup of the original html has occurred to bring it closer in-line with modern standards without making changes in substance. This includes using the same fonts as SampleSlabs.info, and adding Google analytics. The site is still using tables and is NOT fluid/responsive, but with a defined viewport - it still doesn't look GREAT on mobile devices, but it's not horrible. Numex
This type of slab is a licensed slab from ACG to another company. The Numex slab was first seen in 2001, and a similar slab with /xxx/ in the middle was reported as being a sample slab. I tend to disagree that it is a sample although no one really knows. It was believed to be a sample since the middle three letters were all XXX’s. Below is another slab with three letters in the middle, one of them being an X. I think Numex has a letter system in the middle of the slab and the slab pictured in the slab book just had a weird combination. I included Numex here in case others had ideas or other similar slabs with different variants of the label.
